PRISON SERVICE of the Czech Republic Joins Future Forces 2026

As a security corps of the Czech Republic, the Prison Service ensures the execution of custody, security detention and prison sentences, while also managing a broad network of correctional, educational and support facilities across the country.
The Prison Service of the Czech Republic manages 33 prisons, including remand prisons, security detention institutes, an academy for prison staff education, a vocational school for incarcerated persons and a number of service and utility facilities.
Today, the Prison Service protects approximately 19,000 prisoners and employs more than 11,000 people, including uniformed personnel and civilian employees across a wide range of professions.
At Future Forces, the Prison Service will present itself to both professional visitors and the general public through static and dynamic demonstrations.
The presentation will highlight:
- Current equipment and technologies
- Uniforms, armament and vehicle fleet
- Modernisation of the prison system
- Technologies used in prison security
- Employment of incarcerated persons
- Recruitment opportunities for new personnel
- Equipment demonstrations for professional and public audiences
The indoor exhibition will include technologies such as a heartbeat detector, handheld and frame magnetic detectors, breathing equipment, body-worn camera, taser and an electronic shooting range prepared for public participation.
Static and Dynamic Demonstrations
The outdoor exhibition will present selected vehicles of the Prison Service, including an escort bus, ambulance vehicle, armoured vehicle, VW Crafter escort vehicle and T6 recruitment vehicle.
The dynamic programme will include a demonstration by members of the dangerous persons escort unit from Prague Ruzyně Remand Prison, presenting response tactics in the event of an attack on an escort convoy.
Dog handlers and service dogs of the Prison Service will also demonstrate training and scent work.
